What is the molarity of a solution that contains 9.63 grams of HCI in 1.5 liters of solution

hydrogen = 1.01

chlorine = 35.45

Molar mass HCl = 1.01 + 35.45 => 36.46 g/mol

number of moles:

mass HCl / molar mass

9.63 / 36.46 => 0.2641 moles of HCl

Therefore:

M = moles / Volume ( in liters )

M = 0.2641 / 1.5

M = 0.1760 mol/L⁻¹
