In an informational writing, text, essay or composition, the thesis statement should be found at the end of the introduction in order to give the reader the main idea that will be developed throught the body of the text.

Then the paragraphs that will conform the body of the text will provide information to support the thesis statement. Plus, examples may be useful to suuport the thesis.

Finally, the conclusion is stated and it should be a recap of what the writing addressed in the text. It does not have to add further information.
