What were the three estates in france before the revolution, and how were their tax responsibilities different?

First estate: These were the wealthiest people, but for some weird reason they were not required to pay any tax.

Second estate: These were very prestigious people, advisers and such, but they did not pay as very much either, but still more than the first.

Third Estate: These were lowest people, with not much money, but most of the tax responsibility fell on them.
