No, the treaty was far too harsh on Germany and also made it isolated, leading to another war. It connects to ww2 because Hitler and the Nazis used the treaty as a way to gather support. The economy was destroyed at the time and so the Nazis made every German believe that it was the treaty of versailles fault and so many people voted for the Nazis in a hope the economy would be repaired and that lead to the war.
