18y^2 - 48y + 32 = 2(9y^2 - 24y + 16) = 2(9y^2 - 12y - 12y + 16) = 2[3y(3y - 4) - 4(3y - 4)] = 2[(3y - 4)(3y - 4)] = 2(3y - 4)^2
