London Company
Virginia Company, also described as London Company, financial trading corporation, established by King James I of England on April 1606 with the intention of establishing the easterly coast of North America among degrees of 34° and 41° N. Its stockholders were Londoners, and it was separated from the Plymouth Company, which was established at the equivalent time and comprised principally of men from Plymouth.
