If you combine 410.0 mL of water at 25.00 °C and 100.0 mL of water at 95.00 °C, what is the final temperature of the mixture? Use 1.00 g/mL as the density of water.

When mixing these two systems, it should be noted that the temperature of these should go to equilibrium which would mean that heat absorbed should be equal to the heat rejected. We calculate as follows:

(mCΔT)1 = (mCΔT)2
(410)C(T - 25) = (100)C(95-T)
T = 38.73 °C
