Write an equation of the line that passes through (2, −4) and (0, −4).

This is straight off my homework, I have no idea where to start. How do I solve this?

X=2
Y=-4
2x - 4y=0
Y=-4
2x-4(-4)
2x+16=0
2x=-16
X=-8
Hope it helps.. Not sure whether it is correct.

(2,-4)(0,-4)...notice how the y's are the same...they are both -4. When the y's are the same, this means it is a horizontal line and a horizontal line is represented by y = a number. So ur equation for this line is : y = -4. No matter what x is, y will always be -4.
