How do you solve (x 2)/2=(x-6)/10??

(x + 2)/2 = (x - 6)/10
5(x + 2) = x - 6
5x + 10 = x - 6
5x - x = -6 - 10
4x = -16
x = -16/4 = -4
x = -4
