Answer: The value of x = 12.

Explanation:

The given equation :
4x=5x–12

To solve the above equation, first we subtract 4x from both the sides , we get

4x-4x=5x-12-4x\\\\

Simplify ,

\Rightarrow\ 0=x-12

Now, we add 12 on the both sides of the equation, we get

0+12=x-12+12

Simplify , we get

12=x

OR

x=12

∴ The value of x = 12.
