What would happen to consumers if there were no producers?

If there were no producers than there would be a lot less if whatever it's taking about, so then the amount of consumers would start to die off because of the fact that producers aren't producing which means that the consumers have nothing to actually consume.

the consumer would have to make what they need themselves or find someone who can make what they need and of course pay them.
