Perimeter is how far around, so you are going to total the 2 lengths and 2 widths. A way to write that is P=2l+2w.

P = 2(5 5/8) + 2 (6 1/4)

2(5 5/8) = 10 10/8 or 11 2/8 or 11 1/4

2(6 1/4) = 12 1/2

P = 11 1/4 + 12 1/2

P = 23 3/4

The formula for the perimeter is l+l+w+w, or 2l+2w. Multiply 5 5/8 by 2 and add that with 6 1/4 multiplied by 2 and that's your perimeter! 11.25+12.5= 23.75 and that is your answer. I hope this helps :)
