An artisan might produce pottery to be used in the home or decorative pottery to be used as a ceremonial piece. Other artisans might have worked in metals to make jewelry or weaponry. Other artisans might have been engaged in making clothing ranging from basic clothes to elaborate ornate clothing for kings, queens, or royalty.
