What is the equation of a line, in slope-intercept form, that passes through (−8, 1) and has a slope of 5/6 ?

for point (x1,y1) and slope m
y-y1=m(x-x1)

point (-8,1)
slope=5/6

y-1=5/6(x-(-8))
y-1=5/6(x+8)
