If the vapor pressure of water is not taken into account when collecting a gas by water displacement, how would the value for your calculation of the ideal gas law constant , R, be affected?(Increase, decrease or remain the same) Explain your answer.

As we know that

PT = Pgas + PH2O and also

PV= nRT

so the R will be constant

where

P = Pressure of the gas
V = Volume of water displaced
n = number of moles of gas
R = the ideal gas constant
T = the temperature of the gas
