complementary angles add up to 90
so if A and B are complementary....and A = 40, then B = 90 - 40 = 50.

supplementary angles add up to 180
so if B and C are supplementary, and B = 50, then C = 180 - 50 = 130

. If B is a complement of A, and C is a supplement of B, find these measures. A equals 40
