Commoners or peasants represented almost 90% of the total population, while the other 10% were nobles who possesed the land. This clear division of the social classes often resulted general discontempt, due to the high tax rates that commoners had to pay to the nobles. During this time, clergymen and people from the church were almost excent of any kind of this obligations.
