As explained below.

Step-by-step explanation:

  • Environmental protection is a practice of protecting the natural environment by the individual, organization, to conserve the natural resources and where possible report the damage and repair and reverse the trends.
  • There are various approaches to environmental protection till the present days such as the voluntary environmental agreements like the Kyoto protocol and the other environmental and ecological protection approaches that aim to save the ecological system through a collaborative effort.

Here are some of the steps that environmental protection programs can implement in order to minimize environmental damage:
they could reduce water and energy consumption
they could minimize land disturbance and waste production
they could prevent soil, water, and air pollution at mine sites
they could conduct successful mine closure and reclamation activities
Hope this helps! :)
