Does light have an endpoint?

No it does not. The fact why you can't see it is when you are like standing 300 meters away you can't see it. The intensity you observe goes down with distance according to the inverse-law square. Now it's just a consequence of your eye brain not being able to register light when it is a few photons away. A single photon will keep going for ever.
