The correct answer is false.

It is false that the banning of public performances was the end of English Drama.

In 1642, plays were banned in London, England. Those wear the times of Puritans extremism and radical beliefs in England. Political issues and religious extremisms affected plays in England to the degree of banning public performances. But in no way, this meant the end of English drama.

The restoration of the English monarchy in 1660 brought back things to normality and the plays continued.
