Suppose no crossing-over takes place explain why meiosis will still increase genetic variation.

Do not forget that haploids include only 50% of the genetic information, where one half is usually determined by a parent. Haploids melt together to create a diploid that explains genetic variation. I am pretty sure this answer will help you! Regards.
