If x equals 2 then 6 times 2 equals twelve. And twelve plus 3 equals fifteen. So y equals 1. Three times one equals three and 12 plus three equals fifteen. If x equals five, 6 times 5 equals 30. 30-15 = 15. To get 3y you need it to equal negative fifteen so y equals negative five.

y=-2x+5;y=1(x=2);y=-5(x=5)
