Why are there few volcanoes in the Himalaya?

There is little subduction there.

there is no hotspot below Himalaya, neither any subduction is going on, at least any one of these two requires for volcanism. Here, two continental plates are colliding with each other, as both have same density, neither is subducting and no partial melting and thus no volcanic activity.
