I don't really get this one. It says

Solve the equation. Check the solution.
6(x - 2)= -18

okay so it is 6(x-2) =-18
so you first multiply 6 times x that is 6x, and 6 times -2 that is -12 so then it is
6x-12= -18 so you pass the negative twelve to the other side and you do the invert operation so you pass it adding 6x= -18+12 but you cant add negative and positive so you subtract it 6x= -6, so now you have that but you still have 6x so 6x is multiplying and you pass it to the other side dividing, so 6/-6 so x= -1
