Greatest to Smallest

in 3/9, 3/10, 3/11, 3/12 ,

the numerator is a constant 3 while the denominators increase by 1.

That causes the values of the fractions to become smaller as the denominator increases.

Answer:

(3)/(12), (3)/(11), (3)/(10), (3)/(9) in ascending order.

Explanation:

To arrange fractions from the least to the greatest, that is, in ascending order, there are two approaches. The first is to convert each fraction to a decimal number.

Given the fractions below

(3)/(9) , (3)/(10), (3)/(11), (3)/(12)

(3)/(9) =0.33\\(3)/(10)=0.3\\ (3)/(11)=0.27\\ (3)/(12)=0.25

Arranged in ascending order, we have:

0.25, 0.27, 0.3, 0.33 which translates to:

(3)/(12), (3)/(11), (3)/(10), (3)/(9) in ascending order.

Another approach

Since the numerators are the same, the higher the denominator, the lower the number.
