Your median is known as the “middle number”. So when your teacher/instructor asks you to find the median, think of them asking where is the number in the MIDDLE or where is the number in the CENTER.
To find your median you have to list your given numbers from ascending order to descending order (from LEAST to GREATEST)

Ascending to Descending order
11, 20, 24, 36, & 40
MAKE SURE ITS EVEN BOTH SIDES
Therefore, your answer is: [24] because it’s 2 numbers on both sides of it
