In order to decide which statement is correct, we need to conduct the experiment, in order to jump into conclusions.

Scientific evidence is supported by the evidences provided by the experiments. To check the validity of this evidence, the scientific arguments must be analysed by the fellow scientists to check if any alternate hypothesis is present and the results support the proposed hypothesis.
