At the end of Act 1 Scene 1 of Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet," Prince Escalus finds Benvolio, a kinsman to Montague and Tybalt, a kinsman to Capulet, fighting.

He breaks off the fight and declarates that this feud has been going on for too long. He declares that anyone who disturbs the peace again will be sentenced to the death penalty
