In 2011, 17.5% of the Canadian population, or 5.8 million persons, reported speaking at least two languages at home. In 2006, 14.2% did so (nearly 4.5 million persons). In 2011, 11.5% of the population reported speaking both English and another language other than French at home.
(just a statistic to show you that my reasoning is correct.)
Therefore Canadians mostly speak English but they sometimes they speak French too.
