x/2+5=1/3(x+14)
get rid of nasty fractions by multiplying both sides by 6
3x+30=2(x+14)
distribute 2
3x+30=2x+28
minus 2x from both sides
x+30=28
minus 30 from both sides
x=-2

3x + 30= 2(x+14) Multiply by 6 both side
3x + 30 = 2x + 28
x+ 30= 28 ( -2x both side)
x= -2. (-30 both side)
