False

It was not the African Americans the ones who were confined to U.S. relocation camps during WW II but the Japanese Americans. The Executive order that established it was enacted in February 1942, after the Japanese surprise attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941. In the following months, more than 110,000 Japanese Americans were detained and forcibly placed in internment camps during the war as a way to guarantee the U.S. national security.

It is false that African-Americans were confined to US relocation camps during WWII. In fact, those were Japanese-Americans.
