Why was Copernicus Heliocentric model rejected?

Because it contradicted the church, which held to the prevailing, centuries-old dominance of Astro elian science. :)

Copernicus discovered that the planets revolved around the sun instead of the Earth. He set his model of the solar system and the path of the planets.

His heliocentric model was rejected because it questioned the church old belief. It has been assumed that the Sun revolves around the Earth. This theory was much favored among the church teaching where they believed earth existed in one place.
