What character traits does Odysseus reveal when he tells Polyphemus that his name is Noman? What might have happened if Odysseus had told Polyphemus who he was? How would Homer’s audience feel about this response from Odysseus?

Odysseus reveals he clever and crafty and certainly capable of lying. If Odysseus HAD told Polyphemus his true name, that would have put him at a disadvantage and lowered the audience's impression of Odysseus. As for the last question, I would help but I am not 100% sure. Hope this helped a bit!
