Some factors that may be out of a parents control is for example who the child is around (e.g. teachers, neighbours, friends, etc..) and if these people around them do not have good bad manners, characters and attitudes, it's possible that the child will be influenced to do the same.

Another likely factor is the social media; When the child is an addict of social, it's most likely that he's addicted to a particular influential person(s), group, page, friends, etc. If all these do not portray good image, then the child may end up being like what he's addicted to.
