Both plant cells and animal cells are structurally similar. In plants and in animals cells are the fundamental unit of life. in both cells are eukayotic cells and both have cytoplasm, a plasma membrane a nucleus and vacuoles. However, in animal cells vacuoles are generally absent but, if present they are very small in size. In plant cells vacuoles are always present and larger in size.
