There are several factors that made it difficult for one to control all of Britain. But the most important factor is the expanse of its territory., the British Empire comprised the dominions, colonies, protectorates,mandates and other territories ruled or administered by the United Kingdom and its predecessor states. It was said that at its peak, the British Empire is the largest witnessed by man.
