In a dictatorship, only the "ruler's" ideas and beliefs are enforced onto others, in other words, the ruler's needs and wants for the nation is under his or her supreme command. However, democracy incorporates everyone's individual's beliefs and morals (even if it's the most contrast/opposite ideas). Thus, in a democratic society the leader's job is to take into consideration everyone's needs while in a dictatorship only the leader/ruler's needs are met.
