20+12+29+15+49=125, 125÷5=25, so the mean is 25.

You find the mean (AKA average) by adding all the numbers together: 20+12+29+15+49=125. Then dividing that number by the number of addends (in this case 5): 125/5=25. Your mean is 25 :)
