The Intolerable Acts was a law passed by the British Parliament in order to punish the Bostonians for the Boston Tea Party, in largely because the amount of money the British lost due to the Tea Party. The Intolerable act led the colonist to come together and for the First Continental Congress, this was their first real solid move toward the Revolution and their own self governed state.
