A very strong wind is blowing over a big lake. A flock of geese begins their five ten to the third power meter journey home over the lake. For every five ten to the second power meters the geese fly over the lake they are blown back five ten to the first power meters by the wind.It takes three minutes for the geese to fly five ten to the second power meters forward and be blown back five ten to the first power meters. If the geese begin flying across the lake at eleven thirty in the morning what time will they reach home?

The distance is 510³ m.
In 3 minutes the geese fly: 510² - 510 = 510 ( 510 - 1 ) = 510 * 509 m
510³ : ( 510 * 509 ) = 510² : 509 ≈ 511
511 * 3 min = 1,533 min : 24 = 25 h 33 min
25 h 33 min = 24 h + 1 h 33 min.
The geese will reach home at 12 hours and 3 minutes next day.
