7z + 10 - z = 8z - 2(z - 5)
7z + 10 - z = 8z - 2z + 10
6z + 10 = 6z + 10
6z - 6z = 10 - 10
0 = 0
Therefore, 7z + 10 - z = 8z - 2(z - 5)
