Which european country established colonial rule in parts of south america?

Spain established colonial rule in all the territories of South America except Brazil. They were not the countries with the borders that we know now. Those territories consitute nowadays Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Perú, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay.
