A sea breeze involves movement of air from the ocean inland towards the land.
-In the course of the the day, the sun heats up both the land and the ocean surface. Water is a good absorber of the energy from the sun, while, the land absorbs much of the sun’s energy as well.
-However, water gains heat energy more slowly than land and thus the air above the land will be warmer compared to the air over the ocean. The warm air above the land will rise throughout the day, resulting to low pressure at the surface. The high surface will form over the water due to colder air.
