The three factors that affect climate in Texas are:
1) Distance from the sea - Coastal areas have lower temperatures range than those areas inland.
2) Altitude - Temperatures decrease by height. The air is less dense and cannot hold heat easily.
3) Winds - If winds are warm, it will raise the temperature and same goes when there's cold winds, temperature is lower.
