Jamestown - (Virginia) warm climate, defensive position, good for plantations. Inexperience, unwillingness to work, poor Indian relations, disease and starvation.

Plymouth: (Massachusetts) cold climate, good harbor, thin rocky soil, lumbering, shipbuilding, fishing and trade prospered. Hunger, disease and environmental hazards.
