The term refers to the period of peace and stability that the Mongol Empire experimented after the conquer of the vast Eurasian territory (comprising part of Europe and Asia) .in the 13th and 14th centuries. It was also characterized for the development of commerce and communication in the region and the formation of closer ties between the Eastern world and the Western world.
