You are bored, and amuse yourself by drawing three cards from a standard deck (52 cards: 13 each of diamonds, hearts, clubs, and spades).

Round your answers to 3 decimal places.

a) Suppose that after you draw each card, you put it back and shuffle the deck before drawing another. What is the probability that you get three hearts

The probability of drawing a heart is 1/4 on each draw. The event 'draw a heart' is independent of the results of other draws. Therefore the required probability is:

P(3\ hearts)=(1)/(4)*(1)/(4)*(1)/(4)=(1)/(64)
The answer is 1/64 or 0.0156
