When sedimentary layers are deposited on an angle what are they called?

It is called Cross beds. Cross beds are group of inclined laters which are formed during the deposition on the inclined surfaces such as dunes and means that there is a flowing medium in its depositional environment. When the depositional environment has sand, water removes it or any weathering factors that can result in the tranformation of sediments.
