GDP per capita does not show unpaid work such as volunteer jobs. This is a result of the function of a GDP calculation- to display an accurate measure of the gross domestic profit of a nation. Therefore, opportunities that may be valuable to the society in non-monetary ways are excluded perfunctorily.
