Hello! I'm assuming you're trying to solve slope for these two equations. If so, the answer is in fact very simple! First, let us take apart the equation.
For the first equation, 1/2x means, for every 1 unit on the x coordinate on a grid, the point will move 2. Ignoring these terms, the -2 and positive 3 in each of these equations are you're y-intercept! So begin you're slope on the y-intercept, then follow the grid, you rise up 1, and go over 2. Same for 3 over 4.
